The Invitational is to be held Friday, May 18 through Sunday May 21, 2012 at The Igloo in Mount Laurel, New Jersey. (Testing is available on Friday May 18th - test applications available at www.scosnj.org)

                                                                                                                                                                                          
Competition events include all levels of Singles Free Skate, Short Program, Test Track, Compulsory Moves, Basic Skills & Special Olympic events along with Dramatic & Light Entertainment.  It is open to all qualified eligible skaters who are members in good standing of a Member Club of US Figure Skating, Individual Members of USFS, or Basic Skills members.  It will be governed by the rules of US Figure Skating as specified in the 2012 Rule Book and the 2011-12 Basic Skills Competition Manual. The International Judging System (IJS) will be used for all Singles Juvenile and higher.  The “6.0” judging system will be used for all other events.

SOLO DANCE SERIES:  The following number of patterns will be skated for each dance:

2 PATTERNS of:  Swing Dance, European Waltz, American Waltz, Westminister Waltz

3 PATTERNS of: Dutch Waltz, Canasta Tango, Fiesta Tango, Hickory Hoedown, Willow Waltz, Paso Doble, Blues

4 PATTERNS of:  Fox Trot, Rocker Foxtrot, Quickstep

NJ COUNCIL SOLO DANCE EVENTS: (Not part of solo dance series above)

2 Patterns of each dance will be skated.  Couples dances will also be 2 patterns of each dance.

1) Electronic and paper registration is available for the 3rd Annual Skylands Ice World Basic Skills Competition to be held on Sunday, March 25, 2012. Skylands is located in Stockholm, NJ just North of the I 287/Rt. 23 intersection.  Cut-off date is March 7, 2012.

2)  Electronic and paper registration is available for the 5th Annual Ice Vault Basic Skills Competition to be held on Sunday, May 6, 2012. Ice Vault is located in Wayne, NJ.  Cut-off date is April 7, 2012.

3)  Electronic registration is now available for the 2012 Garen State Games  Competition to be held on Saturday, June 16 & 17, 2012 at  Ice Vault Arena located in Wayne, NJ.  Cut-off date is May 13, 2012.   IJS events are offered and this is the qualifying competition for the 2013 National State Games of America to be held in Hersey, PA.

The Board of Directors of The Cantiague Figure Skating Club is proud to invite you to review  the announcement for the annual Trophy Cup competition which is now available on our website www.cfscskatingclub.org.   In addition, access to Entryeeze for skaters to sign up is also set up and ready to go through our site!  Once again, we will be participating in the National Solo dance series.
